A TRIBUTE TO R.D.

A TRIBUTE TO R.D.

You tried to turn me cold...

Telling me that I was being foolish in trying to live right...

I stopped talking and let you do it your way...

What else could I do?

You wanted me to visit, and you knew why I wouldn't...

I thought you'd might change your ways before you turned seventy-seven and I'd wish you a happy birthday when you turned eighty...

You almost made it but, you didn't...

You didn't make it two years...

You didn't make it to seventy-seven...

I don't feel you near me at all...

I didn't cry...

The conclusion is perhaps we were both right, your way worked you're dead and, maybe you turned me cold...

Perhaps, I was right...

You lived it your way...

I would like to ask you how is it to be dead?

I can't, I don't feel you anywhere...

I said Goodbye, you didn't know you were the one leaving...

You said God will save your soul...

One day I will know...

A Tribute to R.D.

Hello terry terri...

Unfortunately, with some people their actions and with their, they are perfect attitude and creepy things they do...

He used his age as an excuse for his behavior...

He rightfully should have been in jail but, people kept telling me just leave it alone...

The Police would sometimes just drive by and chose to ignore what he was doing...

With some people, the world is better off...

He moved to another State so I figured if he kept doing what he was doing they probably wouldn't tolerate it for a minute...

Sometimes, it really does seem like the good die fast and the creepy lives forever...

We were friends until he started showing that side of him...

He was very unpredictable and people are either fine with it or not...

I would have love loss if he was a great man...

Some people make their death a relief...

They make you not mourn...

Maybe, you don't know how much I miss and love my Mom...

I wrote about it too...

What makes me think you don't know that is you really probably wouldn't have asked that question in the first place...

Take care!

Hugs...

Very deep and reflective Sparrowsong.  I love this poem.   You certainly brought out an emotion, that in one way or another many of us relate. The still small voice is always there, but some ( like your friend) choose to put ear plugs in
Thanks
Greg

Hello Greg...

Yup...

Safe and sound in their little bubble...

People see death many times as a dark being coming for you...

To an extent it's true, but it's not for everyone...

I have seen both sides my friend...

The dark one comes often leaving not much time for hesitation...

I don't think it leaves as quickly as often as it shows up it's that or...

It's a very fast route...

Only thing I can say at that moment is you can leave now...

It leaves but, the stench left behind doesn't go away...

It's at that moment a person knows the truth...

I've heard preaching that's for sure but, death has it's own preaching my friend...

How a person lives determines if I go or don't go to the house of they died there...

I never want to smell that smell again...

No person can preach better than that...

You don't have to purchase a ticket to hear that message...

Glad you enjoyed!

Thank you for your kind comment and support!

P.S. My Dad died in my house...

The smell was in everything...

It was in the walls, the floors, the furniture, everywhere and in everything...

He wasn't dead but, a couple of hours...

I opened every window, bleached what I could bleach and the smell just lingered...

I left everything open for a week, windows, the sliding glass door stayed open and no one went in and took anything...

I even shut the lights off...

People knew no one was there...

It was a house full of useable stuff...

I couldn't sell it for $1.00...

I couldn't give it away...

I had it demolished and taken out...

Furnished and all...

It was mostly all my stuff that I worked my ass off for...

If it's my loved one that dies before me and I have that experience again...

I would have no choice but, to do it again...

Hugs again...

Hello Soul Sis...

If I cried for everyone who died...

That would be the way I would spend most of my days...

If I went to every funeral, I wouldn't be able to do anything else...

People used to experience this a lot as they aged and they have a difficult time...

I thought I had many years before I came close to understanding their feelings...

It's strange because, they don't know how they would have handled it when they were my age...

I used to think the saying people are dropping like flies was a terrible saying...

Now, I have a much better understanding...

When I'm an old person of 90 I would have known the feeling for many, many years...

I may change that phrase too when I'm 89...

?

Thank you for your sweet comment and support my friend!

purple luv & hugs xo :)
