The Root of All Evil

The Root of All Evil

Money may be the root of all evil.
But we are far too eager to water the tree.

This is written for a national contest which asks the entrants to write a two-line poem based on a popular quote.
Wish me luck!

:) Good luck in the contest.
Greed is the root of all evil. Greed must be defeated, along with self -interest, with souls caring for each other, and sharing purpose or personal wealth through tax, to make a better world.
CARING and SHARING is the root of goodness.
:)
Once again, good lucj in the competition.
Warmest wishes.

Oh, and I think that it's a very floydesque couplet, more Roger Waters than Gilmore but that's a good thing.

My daughter and I saw Brit Floyd live on the eleventh of this month in Huber Heights Ohio, Nigel.
It was an amazing show!

Hi Dean, I saw Floyd on the first Wall tour in 82 and it was incredible. Unfortunately it was the one night that the stage show didn't really work. They built a wall around the stage as the album progressed and at the end, when they played Tear down the wall they would literally blow the wall up. The night I went one brick fell out. Still a great memory .
Cheers mate,

Thanks so much for checking this out, Sparrowsong. While I don't expect to win, much less place, it was an honor just to have been chosen as a finalist.
I'll be sure to let you know how it all turns out.
Hugs!

I can only hope, KIERAN.
It's an honor just to have been chosen as a finalist. That narrows it down to only 200 entries, lol.
Thanks for wishing me luck!
