Unnecessary Consumerism

Buying something because an idol owns itĀ
Is obsessive behavior that leaves you poorerĀ
And in the end is acquiring debt going to makeĀ
you a good person?
Spending money for things that are unimportantĀ
Is like pulling another floorboard from your house
and throwing it into a fireĀ
One that continues to burn with your recklessnessĀ
It is not love or adorationĀ
Because your idol wouldn't want you to becomeĀ
destitute to support them.Ā
