Poem -

Once at the snow

I remember once at the snow
My eyes turning red

From the reflection of the sun,

How the mouldy curtain pushed up

Against the sliding screen door.

The suction acting like a slipstream,

The cars going past your window.

I sleep with a full stomach, now.

Bed is heaven

And the pillow a tuft of ground,

My head a headstone.

I am the dead.

Never again will I want to wake.

Wow, love your first stanza and the thought of finally lying on something that feels safe. 🌹
