Poem -
Everybody Knows
Everybody knowsâŚ
that pain keeps lurking
for a place to reside in every soul,
and the moon is an arid land
of rocks and illusion.
Everybody knowsâŚ
that happiness is fleeting,
as darkness and light
are, by fate, entwined.
But when the moon glides
over the oceanâs tide
as the heart rejoicesÂ
feeling the peace
and seeing the splendour,
the pain subsides. For a moment.
And to that moment-- we surrender.
Everybody wantsâŚ
to see the light.

I like the recurring theme that happiness is fleeting. I'm pretty interested in that sort of thing. Although I must say, I don't ever remember chasing it. I wasn't brought up that way. Well written poem B
