Half test tube baby Â
I was born Â
in midst of the swarming
twentieth century world.
What’s those on mirror
are those fangs
grown in my mouth ?
Started gobbling up
all it can eat
anything in universe
pleasing my need.
No species I promise
will survive at end
sparing those only
of my own race.
My soul,body and mind
no longer my own
genetically modified I am
from conveyor or clone.
Shameless we burn
gallons of gas
pierce earth’s chest
now and then.
Then cover it up
with fancy name
art, science and tech.
So confused our
selfish mind
lost sense of
what’s wrong and right.
Socialist capitalist
communist and all
religion, politics and wisdom
where those sages gone!
Standstill we watch
the Armageddon
same as Nero
played the fiddle
and blazed the Rome.
Wondered how
all our good deeds
gave birth to such
Frankenstein
erasing living and nonliving
from earth
all day and night.
O creator of the Universe!
Have mercy and faith on us.
Friends let’s not wait
undo hundreds of perverse culture
we don’t need any more
delete hundreds of killer science
we don’t need any more.
No more Chernobyl blast
or another Hiroshima holocaust
just wake me up
serene every morn.
Guardian of corporate world
don’t dig oil, mines
and drain it all
don’t drink our transient
life and time
for few dollars or more.
Come on let’s get back
to those golden days
and relish with friends
beats, verse and play.
Walk with unchained soul
no fear to voice the truth.
Tulip blossoms in slums
with full of joy.
Albatross spreads its wing
again in deep blue sky.

Brilliantly put across in a simple yet poignant way. I think modernization and technological advancement as we understand it today has made the civilization pay a bigger price than most of us acknowledge or comprehend.
Excellently describing the situation that we are facing as a society today. Technology should be making us solve problems faster, instead it is creating more problems. People will do anything to make a quick buck even if it means the destruction of the world.
Saving the earth is Pot boiler to most of us, it is indeed, but no body blowing the whistle, we are not ,gifting the world to next generation but we have actually borrowed from the future ; at least this piece of poem likely to raise concern of all of us
