Poem -

A New Wing

Entering Jerusalem's Garden

You came at the perfect time

Your window openned just when the builders had begun to block out my sun

You're voice breathed life into my lungs

When other words carried only death

You came when I had almost fully healed

The final balm to seal my tender wounds

At a time of feeling so misunderstood and alone

You offered something sharable

And so I lay tired tangerine lilies to rest with the sunset

Dreaming in the night of rosella kisses

Birds that sent a tickle of feathers to awaken my childlike heart

So that I may take pleasure in watching your lilac crysanthenums

Bloom with the coming dawn
