A Stranger in the Mirror

I looked at the mirror
I saw a stranger staring back at me
Though the face looks familiar
But this can’t be me!
I’m looking for that carefree little girl
Who lives one day at a time and not a care in the world
But all I see is a full grown woman with worries on her face!
I’m looking for that innocent little girl
Who knows nothing of the ways of this world
But all I see is someone who has lost all innocence!
I’m looking for that little girl with a big heart
and a warm smile for everyone who comes her way
But all I see is a sad and grumpy woman!
Who is this in the mirror
How did you get here?
This face is not mine
There is a stranger in the mirror!

Hi Sweet Rose,
Sometimes these mirrors can portray a "Trompe L'Oeil", with the mind painting a canvas that does not exist. So it is always wiser to instead of looking into a mirror, to look deep into ones heart.
Peace and Love,
xox Larry

Hi Charlotte...Sometimes when I look at the mirror I wonder where the years have gone to...I see a total stranger staring back at me...We sure want to see to something good in that mirror but I guess we're not always lucky...I've been there several times...This lady is very sad because of she sees staring back at her...We all wish to remain young, carefree and void of any responsibility but it's not possible...We all have to face reality once in a while....Thanks a million Charlotte....You're one in a million!
