Poem -

A Woman in Love

A Woman in Love

In the quiet chaos
Of my heart's tender stirrings
Find the inner workings
Of a woman's winsome wiles
In some ways, I am still just a child
Wanting to be held
Disenchanted by beaten paths
The broken wishing wells
Dispelled by flippant flirtations
Found in fairy tales
I hold sweet secrets
From  beginning of ancient days
A classic condition
In exonerated haze
As individual,
I feel my crime of passion sing
I am convicted
Without being charged with anything
Twirling in desire's vibrant colors
Of life changing impact
I have committed no delict
Nor offensive criminal act
Floating on euphoria's
Wild wings of exhilaration
Dancing with devotion's diamond ring
In consideration
My emotions soar higher
With affections, soft as a glove
Fire flitting fondly in my heart
I am a woman in love

Hi T...This poem has very special meaning to me...to feel free when in love is a very powerful emotion.  I am glad you liked it.  I think it is nice to keep the poems that represent our best work.  I always find flaws and things to improve upon in my poetry.  Love is ever inspiring.  Thank you for believing in me.  Love n Hugs, xo C

" WOMAN IN LOVE. " There is a great work.
You, find what you need, when you need it. Do you not ? By, applying the " heart " and " soul "......in the right place. I am not referring to the hard " concrete " of that, jungle, or, to the" rural " by-waters " ", of " DELIVERANCE " BUT, to the emotional investment of the long-term, SOLUTION. You know ?
In the way of it, you seek more. Because, you love " LOVE " !! Do you agree ? There, lays the crux, and the " central " statement, of what goes on. Everywhere. And, you should know. If, any body does !!! :) :) :)
LOVE waits for no, one, but, is " thrust " upon US......" out of the blue " !! With, devastating effect. Always, it seems.
LIVE FREE. " FALL " HARD.
" LIVE ", in the moment....when you are lucky enough to get it !!! :) :)
What a tribute paid......to the " intensity " of the " upheaval ", created from the " CHEMICAL " imbalance !!! :)
You, know, it, makes sense. Considering, what you do, and what happened, to you. Let's " leave it there ", for our " own " sake !!! :) Let's instead, make a " pact with the Devil "........because that " sounds " FUN. Love, therein, would be nice. That, would add the " SPICE " !! :) :) :)
KEEP UP, THE GREAT WORK. Why, don;t you ?   That, seems, appropriate, because, if any one understands " this shit "....IT IS YOU.

Hi Richard.  Thank you.  I think that when we are in love, we cannot help but live in that moment and hope it never ends....and if we fall for our attempt to hold on, it was worthy pursuit.  For love is the greatest power and force in the world, and to seek it is noble.  I do not feel at all that it is making a pact with the devil to love....but following God's protocal and will for his creation to draw to one another as He is LOVE Himself, and created us to love each other.  When the world seems to dictate a different kind of mentality over what is important, I always cling to what I know is beautiful and pure to seek.  There is a spirit of benevolence to love that enchants me, so I always write of that which is healing.  Love is the spice of life...lol  and I would not want to live without it.  I am glad you understand the draw of it for me...as it is what I write about more than any other genre. Thank you for your opinions. Love n Hugs xo  ;)

" YOU, KNOW IT. " Or......do you ?
Well, I shall assume you are of that persuasion.
Though, " assumption is the mother of all " cock " ups ", you know ? :) :)
Let, your instinct GUIDE YOU in love , as in life. So, you get all you want. :) :)
N.B " The " Devil " is in the detail " !! And, if any one should realize " that "....it is probably you. Take care ! XXX

Yes!  I am of that persuasion...lol.  I definitely go with my heart's instinct with love....and I hope not to be misguided in life...but "the devil is in the detail."  I wrote a poem of that title once.  Glad I have you around, Richard to keep me on track with your advice. Love n Hugs, xo

YOU, celebrate " the need " of the woman. In pen. So, admirably....it, is untrue. What, daring and flair to " escape ", with such confidence.
Keep on going. Keep on, caring. Keep, the " pen in ink ", and the mind " set to roam " !! For, the sake of love.

I think I got ya, Richard!  Pen to paper is my escape and LOVE my mindset to express...I don't think I could ever NOT share that mentality, for it is a part of me and the greatest inspiration in my life.  A woman in love is a mighty force! ;)  Thank you, my friend. xo ;)

Women do transmit, to great EFFECT, their feelings when the heart yearns for more. I know, from experience, that to be true.
You, conduct an " orchestra " to put across the complexity of female " want " !! And, what it means, for us " dumb ", " easily cajoled " FELLOWS....OF LIMITED RESOURCE " !! :)
We, have to improve our " game ", to understand intricacies of the " loving bond ".... as you do !! Do we not ? !!! :) :)
X  :)

Lol..Well, I would not call you gentlemen "dumb" or "easily cajoled"....for why would we women be so enamored of you if you were?  Men and women attract each other because of what we both add to a relationship....each having a role.  I do believe in my case, I am overly emotional and sensitive and that loving bond is so important to me.  I learn a lot from love, and adapt as I learn.  Thank you, Richard. xo ;)

You, learn from love, do you ? How about the rest of " life " ? But, " not as we know it ".....obviously. You, have a " kindred spirit " somewhere, I should think. But, who really knows, considering your " ways " !!!
DO YOU THINK YOU REPRESENT THE MAJORITY, OF YOUR " SPECIES " ? (  women ). I would suggest, otherwise. :) :)
Take a lead from history. I refer you to " Emily Bronte " as a sufficient inspiration....to " guide " you TO THE LIGHT. :) :) !!!  XX

I should hope I learn from love and life experiences, as everyone.  However, I would never suggest that I represent in any way the "typical" woman.  We are all individuals.  My thinking is often not the "ways" of the world.  I respect Emily Bronte very much.  I love "Wuthering Heights" and some of her poetry.  She was shy, and a teacher, as I have been in my past.  She wrote romantically minded, which I of course relate to...so I appreciate her thinking as well...lol It was not until she died of tuberculosis, that some of her works became well known and respected.  I hope that I do not have to die to be appreciated. Lol...Thanks for your thoughts, Richard. xo ;)

You, " NEED " to be " acknowledged " in a manner, deemed appropriate to yourself, then ? Would that not be a " turn up, for the books " !!
It, is in your nature, is it not, to " advance " yourself in whatever " field " ? Do you seek some justification for your existence ?
I leave it, to others, and the future, to " assess my " worth " !!! :) :) But, if, you know yourself, I suppose " you know, yourself " !!! Why, would you not, considering your UNIQUE CHARACTER, worth remembering ? :) :)
X :)

I am definitely working on future books, my friend....a romantic poetry collection and a novel set in the Renaissance period...so I am  trying to expand my writing experiences.  Thank you for your support. I think we should all try to advance and evolve in our lives using what God gives us!  xo

I would say that at this point in my life, I know myself better than I ever have, but, I am always learning and wanting to be better, closer to what God wants me to be.  I guess all we can do, Richard, is be who we are created to be and appreciate who we were designed to be.  I am definitely a woman with very sentimental feelings and opinions....and hope others will like me for who I am.  Thank you for your friendship all these years. xo ;)

Thank you, for setting out your thoughts on this one. It, is the fostering of relationships, through love and friendship, by whatever means, which sets us apart from those who " wipe their arse, in a " CAVE ", using a leaf " !! You, can not let Troglodyte " cultures " detract from the essence of what makes us " tick " !! :) :)
In the bond of partnerships is what all can hold dear. In the " way " of what matters, there is HOPE and JOY, to " start a fire " which burns brightly.....for real goodness. Do you not agree ? Do you not feel what sustains ? Do you give your whole heart, to this ? IN YOUR WORDS, I see more. IN YOUR WORDS, there is worth. :) To, let us all define ourselves in the proper manner, for peace.  XX

I refer you to " SOURCE " material " 2001, A Space Odyssey " and the celebratory " renaissance " feel of " 2010 " ( Roy Schneider ), for enlightenment on progression.... through knowledge empowering the soul.
It, is in finding out " who we are " and " what we wish to be " that, all comes clear. The words, expressing what matters, the gifts and blessings, lead us forward to WHERE, we want to be.
Keep up, the effort towards your goals, inspiring, as you go.
Take care. X  :)

A Lonely Journey

Wow, Cheerie,
What a powerful statement of both your feelings, and thoughts on love. Absolutely gorgeous. One of your best ever, I think. I just loved the portion of the child-like innocence, and expectations, and dreams of love. That really moved my heart. Funny, just today, I was experiencing some of those same emotions(the disenchantment, the wonder) as I was thinking about life here at my desk. I can really relate to that piece wholeheartedly.
Beautiful writing.
Love and hugs,
Matthew.

Hi Matthew.  Thank you!  ;)  I think love should have that child-like wonder feeling and fulfill the expectations of dreams.  Life can surely bring some disenchanting moments, and it is good to have hope and faith to hold onto.  I know you have much reflection in your own life.  I am glad you can relate to it.  Bless you for all your awesome support.  Love n Hugs, Cheerie ;)

You're welcome, Cheerie, thank you.
And you're so right, that tender, child-like love is amazing. Like your first love, without all the pressures, and demands of the world, just beauty, and sweetness, and warmth. I think it's so important to keep that, too. It trumps life, and it's what matters. Thanks for making me think about it again, with your wonderful poem.

Yes!  The demands of the world can be inhibiting.  I am honored that you understand that kind of innocent child-like wonder that love should exude naturally because of its nature.  Anything else is not love to me...but a fabrication.  It is the most important thing in life...and my motivation.  I am happy my poem made you think about those kind of feelings again.  Nice compliment. xo ;)

Sometimes words can't  really express the emotions  generated when  reading a poem that reflects all the very best things about love..suffice to say that the words you have used, the images you have created, the depth of feeling you have expressed speak volumes on the miracle that love is..A wonderfully uplifting and joyous piece Cherie! xx

My Dear Cherie,

The shattered dreams of yesteryears, have become the ecstasy of today
The pain eradicated, the moment you came my way
Scar tissue disappeared then, from the core of my sad heart
And after but just one sweet kiss, I knew we'd never part

All my love,
