Golden Rule

Golden Rule

Ever imagined Β how sweet

And interesting the world

Would be if we

Would all live

One day at a time Β

And do to others

As we’d have others do to us?

The sweet simplicity of this piece belies a profound thought.

Excellent!!

Of course most people think that The Golden Rule is a christian concept; that Jesus was the first to come up with it: but it's been around for thousands of years. The Greeks, amongst others, were touting the idea long before anyone else.
You'd think we might have copped on by now, wouldn't you?!

I don't see it as a Christian concept...even though I first read it in the Bible... I've heard people call it "the kindergarden rule"....where parents teach their children the rule but never live by it. We're very far from copping as we keep doing to others what we dread.

Looking forward to reading another story from you. I really enjoyed the first one

Thanks so much for stopping by and for your words...means so much to me
