Poem -

Aztec Rain Goddess

May brought an Aztec Rain Goddess

She danced for a day

seduced the sun

and covered the sky

with her gray clouds

with lumpy bumps

She danced in the morning

She danced in the afternoon

now that it's evening

she must have gone back to her cave

I miss her laughter

which woke me up

early this morning

I miss her song

which blew the winds

all day long

But her temper is here

it is cold and stings

this Californian valley

has been conquered

by an Aztec Rain Goddess
