Poem -

Between the Atom of love

Between the Atom of love

undercroft to the temple
of his ruins, his passion
remains desiccant,

that which drowse
in the culms of dust
in it's rigidity,

nigh,

ennobles a spark
of you,

who’s outcry had
slaughtered
and marred,

the secluded
Bamiyan valleys
below,

he,

who had banqueted
 the spurious end
in ascribed
ignorance,

to an estuary
of inurbane
refusals,

pliant,

to the one who
stands alone
to the moon afar
and weeps,

all his weeping
to a bleary star
in a barrage
of smoke,

an orphan
devoid of
shelter,

in the farness
a viola espouse,
there dwells his
home,

in the heart of a
woman
who’s tresses
flower the scent
of Albanian
roses,

~ une flamme jumelle~

to his runic slumber
at the garth of every
dream,

when stilted lorn
 my dear beloved,
and your heart
flounders to a
fall,

thus, my hands were
sculpted by the mystics
to haven thy
pénible woes,
,
and what of
my fingers kept
in this wordless
aplomb,

through this
trammeled rot of my
existence,

if not for
love’s forthcoming
to wipe thy mournful
 tears?

French - pénible - burdensome
une flamme jumelle -  a twin flame🌹

I always love your love poems because they are atypical and that makes them beautiful.....wistful and with elements of withholding and yet connection with one who understands common pain in life.  Lovely work, Merrill.  xo ;)
