Black Dust doco

Black Dust doco

Soulfull sax blowin in the background
Tearfull woman lost her man,
Wonderin if he's done a bunk
Or banged up in the can.
Truth is, he was a mining man
Worked his fingers to the bone,
Slaving for the company
To pay the mortgage loan.
But the fickle market changed,
Mcgregor closed the mines
This was way back when,
In Reagan and Thatcher times.
Many miners lost there way
Families, towns torn apart,
Drowned their sorrows with the ale,
Women at home with a broken heart
The documentary drew to a sorrowful close
The boom and bust stockmarket game
When it's on the bust cycle, (shake head)
Leaves a generation lame.
