Poem -

Blow the Candle Out, Let's Ramble On

Blow the Candle Out, Let's Ramble On

The blades of grass are sheltered by the dew
As the morning opens yawning, creeping through
The sun takes its place in Heavens well
And silhouettes the peace down here in hell

So turn a leaf, don't you look back now
The world beyond is there for you to plough
Today informs me that we should be gone
So blow the candle out, let's ramble on

The seagulls praise the wind and lend a claw
To the baptised rocks resting on the shore
The tide is anchored to the shifting sand
Sweeping long lost seashells from the land

So turn a leaf, don't you look back now
The world is yours and is calling for your plough
Today informs me that we should be gone
So blow the candle out, let's ramble on
