Poem -

Catalyst Kiss

Love's Endgame

Catalyst Kiss

He said my voice makes him imagine kissing me
But it’s his lips which emit masculine symphony
A sound I have memorized, idolized alone
Mesmerized by gentleness of love in his tone

Catapult me forward, after our time remiss
To a union, favored by a catalyst kiss
An impetus touch from love as a classicist
An artist’s stroke, evoked as baroque mannerist

Allow him to feel my emphatic heartbeat
Swept up in the anticipation, stirring sweet
Accelerated and crazed by implication
Longing for the day of his kiss’s sensation

May fate prepare a date for lover’s devout vow
Abide in time’s kind changes to rightly allow
Our lips to pose in promise’s purposeful claim
For comforting catalyst kiss, in love’s endgame

Wow...new favorite! Sorry.
Cheerie, I'm not sure how to react to that one, but to say you are just the finest writer of gorgeously, beautifully fashioned romantic prose that I've ever encountered. THAT was amazing.
I fell into that first stanza(my favorite), and was so mesmerized that I couldn't continue reading for about 5 minutes. Finally, after being awestruck, I moved on, and it was just a beautiful symphony of words, and love, and passion, until I got to the end, worn out! Beautiful!! Exquisite!! Masterpiece-ful.
You are the Queen of Qlove(pronounced kwa-love, it's Neptunian(because your writing out of this world), for lurve).
Honestly, and maybe I'm biased because you're such an incredible person, but that was sooooo great.
I'm not sure if I'll have anymore new favorites, because I don't know if you can top that one, but please try.
Great job,
Love and hugs,
Matthew.

Lol....I have to laugh, Matthew, because you say often, "That is my favorite poem by you"...lol  But I am still honored each time, because it means you like my work.  I appreciate that you really take time to reflect on what I write.  I wanted this one to feel just like in those days of teenagers when they have that first long awaited kiss....imagining what it will be like after the anticipation has built....That kind of magical feeling.  I think the sound of one's voice evokes so much chemistry and knowing of one's heart...just adding to that excitement....I am so thankful for your support.  Love n Hugs, Cheerie  ;)

Hi Cheerie,
I think that's why I loved that so much, it did evoke that innocent, yet passionate feeling of first love, and it's incredible aura. You really did well with that one, I'm so impressed with your continued success of getting better and better with each write. You're so talented, and really quite intelligent, as everyone can tell from all of your words on here.
Fantastic! You did so well what you set out to do. You make people believe in things again.
L&H,
Matthew.

Awww...Thank you, Matthew.  I am perpetually in that warm fuzzy place that love inspires and it is worth writing about in my opinion, so people remember that love is suppose to be magical.  The fact that you believe in me and encourage me means so much.  Thanks my good friend!  ;) xo  Love n Hugs

You're so welcome! You deserve praise, you're great!
I was in that warm, fuzzy place a little while ago, I fell into a vat of chicks, but now I'm in a hard chair, so my butt's sore...ummm, probably too much information, but that's the scoop. Sorry!
Thanks for being you, it's a wonderful thing to be.
Lurve,
Matthew.

Lol..Chicks do give that warm fuzzy feeling...but you know what i really like?  I like the warm fuzzy feeling diving into a field of dandelions...and you don't have to worry about squishing to death an animal like you risk with chicks.  But to each his own...lol  Thanks for making me laugh all the time, Matthew. xo ;)

Truly beautiful and inspiring Cherie. Your works will
make a romantic thinker of me yet!

I think you would greatly enjoy edna st. vincent milay if
you haven't already read any of her works.

+

what I personally like about this one is it's sensual
nature, AND the tastefulness of it.
it's not harshly erotic or rift with crudity as are many
of the modern romance poems i've indulged in.

+

its...Spiritually Romantic because it is full of
expressions of the HEART and SOUL. (The
physical aspects of it are
simply "the catalyst" which precedes the Spiritual.)

+

it is the work of one truly in LOVE.

VERY well done my friend!!

Hey J....Oh wow!  Thank you!  I hope to make a romantic out of you yet...lol..Actually, I think it is in you already, just overshadowed sometimes by your dark experiences.  I like that you found this sensual but with taste...That means a lot to me...I never want to come across as crude or dirty...because I certainly do not think that way about love...I am consumed with the sentimental aspect of emotions.  Thank you, as always, for your valued opinions, J. xo ;)

Hi Lodigiana...Thank you!  I just love romantic writes and finding ways to express the incredible different scenarios that bring two people together.  And a kiss can be a catalyst event that sets things in motion.  I am so pleased you liked my poem.  Bless you! ox  ;)  Love n Hugs
