Poem -

Crying Inside

She smiles and it deters them away

That is her life day by day

Can't they see in her eyes the sorrow,

The dying soul with a body borrowed?

Hide away her smile can't you see despair?

Looking even deeper in, a permanent glare

Hidden well behind her looking glass

Is a shattered girl stuck in the past

Bleeding openly from within

A girl who has no strength to defend

Anger and darkness consume her being

Behind her facade is the girl screaming

Though no one can hear her, no one will

She has wounds so deep, that will never heal

Lost inside these invisible cries

Is a girl who slowly dies
