Poem -

Escape

Escape

Enclosed in my freedom
Held captive by choice
So consumed by her tainting intensifying voice

I am silently hollering, enough of the promising
Change
Change
Change
I never change, just simply shape-shift around and rearrange

The reflection of abhorrence
Failed disciple begins to surface
continuously punished and mocked due to my disservice

She is so treacherous yet appealingly familiar
My pain
My pleasure
An unbearable hysteria
Deepest sorrow or purposeful light?
Indescribable confusion bring me contentment tonight

Wherever
Whenever she brings a mass of hatred and despair yet without her daunting presence, I have nothing, not a care
I am dedicated to her torturous ways
Nesting inside me she begs to stay

I promise
I promise
I promise
I will change
She will be the one that must rearrange
