Poem -

Falling Slowly

Falling Slowly

Falling slowly, into arms that hold me
Lingering on the lap of his love's luxury
He climbs aboard my emotional boat
Using empathy oars against effrontery

With chiseled face of spiritual soldier
And tender heart despite a war torn past
He rows with kind, decisive strokes
Sharing loving glances upon a lake of glass

With destination unknown, rowing along
Winds of change provide a gentle breeze
We intimately kiss as we drift and sift
Through dangling limbs of weeping willow trees

Falling slowly, into eyes that know me
Softly seduced on a lake of sweet intuition
Floating, falling, where love is calling
And destiny's dream finds final fruition

HI Lisa....Thank you.  I keep writing what speaks to my heart and hope others will like it.  I have an affinity for weeping willow trees, and find the idea of being out in a row boat beneath their branches so romantic.  I think falling in love is a process that sneaks up on us...and a beautiful enigma...lol  Thank you for your kind support.  Love n Hugs, xo Cherie

HI Sis Sparrowsong...Thank you!  I am sentimental about the simplest things in life....and used the boat ride metaphorically of two lovers coming aboard with love....I always appreciate your presence upon my page...Love n Hugs, xo Cherie

My wrist still stiff after surgery. So, I haven't been writing much lately,
just been reading 📖,
by the way,  I wanted to order your book " The healing touch " but it's not available.
I want to read it this coming X'mas vacation in the Philippines. My first Xmas vacation in my hometown after 28 years.  A nice book to read for my nieces and nephews.

Hi Leah...I am so sorry you are having stiffness still..I hope you heal soon as we all miss your poetry.  I am thankful you are reading.  I am honored that you would like my book...It is sold out at Amazon.com now....but I have some in my personal collection left.  If you send me a private message with your address for shipping, I would love to get a copy out to you....the only problem is that shipping internationally is sometimes very expensive...I would love for your nieces and nephews to learn about Falina and Winsome Meadows.  I have had interest in my book recently again...It is exciting. Thank you.  Love n Hugs, xo Cherie

HI Gregory....I don't want you to say that, much less feel that way!  I enjoy your writing very much...We all write differently with different styles..I know you mean that as the sincerest of compliments,  but you are not mediocre.  I can't have you say that...I am blessed to have you read and comment on my work.  Thank you.  xo  Cherie ;)

MY Dear Poetess Cherie,

He steers me to far places, that I have never been;
In a boat on the Lake Placid, our lovemaking then begins!
We glide over the calm waters, rippled bodies then co-join;
He is,"The light of my life, the fire of my loins"*

*First two lines in the book "Lolita"

Love,
Larry xxx
