Focused

I stumbled through the wooded storm.
Wet leaves, debris I fought!
I climbed the steep embankment.
My efforts, mine enemies thought, for not!

I screamed out HIS name above the thunder!
I grabbed the softened soil and climbed in haste!
I reached the road that leads to fullness-
The storm's rage I still could taste.

I turned to the side, my demons ran!
Yes, mine enemies scattered and did recede!
I had made it to my life's clearing!
I began to dance....free am I indeed!

I frolicked and spun on up the road-
That in victory before me lay!
I shouted praises out to my Saviour!
I knelt in the center of the storm to pray.

I arose and skipped on into the sun!
Warmth enveloped me and dried my skin.
I saw opportunities all around me!
The gate opened, I was allowed passage in!

I have been given wisdom by my Father!
I shall use such, to navigate this place.
I will enjoy my life, and love and laugh!
I will keep my focus on Christ's face.
