I Am

I am  lost and in love with him 

I wonder why I'm clouded with disapproval  of my love imbedded in him

I hear his voice and imagine myself in his arms 

I see the love in his eyes and pray that there's no removal 

I want nothing but to be his 

I pretend the disapproval means nothing at all 

I feel his eyes gaze over at me in a single glance, one breathtaking moment

I touch back on the memories of nights we stayed up professing love 

I worry that disapproval may become too much to cope with 

I cry at the thought of living without his smile, his face, his love

I am lost and in love with him

I understand the people surrounding us feelings 

I say to them though "you are wrong" 

I dream of a time that we are accepted 

I try to make this true a day come near 

I hope forever is the time in which we'll thrive in love together
