Poem -

I Met Her On A Midnight's Dream

I Met Her On A Midnight's Dream

Some day, when the pages of my life end, I know that you will be my most beautiful chapter.

I met her on a midnight's dream
When skies would never think to gleam
As all the light had nearly drowned,
With hopes, along the weathered town

The sun had gathered in her eyes
Like shards of diamonds in the skies
And all about warm winds did blow,
O'er fields where buds began to show

I greeted love but once before
A brilliant look behind that door
But now the gorgeous pass I see,
Reveals eternal destiny

I met her on a midnight's dream
Where every hope of life does seem
To dance within the starlit skies
Reflected in her perfect eyes.

Hi Matthew!  This is so beautiful and romantic!  I swear you have such perfect metering and rhyme flow that it makes it feel like a waltz.  You write with lovely sentimentality that is touching.  I like the feeling of hope and appreciation.  Even your beginning quote before the poem is such a beautiful expression of love.  You are a versatile writer, and I feel so inspired when I read your work.  It challenges me to fine tune my love poems...lol...and to want to do my best to keep up.  Great work, my friend.  Love n Hugs, Cheerie

Hey Cheerie,
Thank you so much. I don't know about versatile, but thank you very much. I think it's just that my head sways so freely between hope and despair that I write so differently all the time...perhaps more of an insane writer, more than versatile. lol. Life's a crazy thing. Sometimes you see such amazing beauty so clearly, but the next minute you fall back into despair. Makes you loopy! lol.
Hey, you don't have to try to keep up, you're way beyond me. My silly little ditties are soooooo overwhelmed by your beautiful ones. : )

Thank you so much for your ever present encouragement. You're really 'The Angel of Cosmo'(another Marvel superhero. She bludgeons people with her beautiful words). LOL.

Thanks again!!

Matthew.

Hey Tony!
Thank you so much. Life and love are enough to make you garner a nice straightjacket, aren't they?
I honestly appreciate the nice words and encouragement, though.

Thanks!

Dear Matthew:

This poem actually gave me chills. For me, I cannot relate to the topic of love due to my juvenile age, but this poem encases a kind of elegance and beauty that I have not seen in poems before.  Your words flow like crystal-clear streams through a mountain, a true joy for one's mind and soul.

Marvellous write!

Andrea

Hi Andrea,
Thank you very much!
You're so nice, and your review is beautifully worded, I like that.
Love's the most fantastic thing...why it's so hard to come by, I'm not sure, but it's nice to think of.
I really appreciate your kind words, and the read.

Matthew.

I gave this 4 stars because it wasn't long enough I want your poems to last longer as I totally am able to escape in your words. Just for a while I can be out of my world  and into a beautiful one and this one I was just starting to relax and oh, it was finished. LOL. You are so amazing. More please I love your love poems. xx

Hi Fiona!
Thank you so much, my awesome friend! I'm so happy you like my poetry, because you're a really sweet person, but 4 stars??!! I'm hanging up my pen. Kidding! 4 stars is great, I'm used to people trying to put negative numbers of stars in there, and you're the fifth star, so I'm good.
Thanks again, you're great Fiona.
