Poem -

I Worship His Voice

I Worship His Voice

His loving words are so often heard
Yet feel beautifully new to me
Perhaps its the lapse of hearing them in the past
Or his love's soothing sincerity

His voice is my lulling vox of choice
The massaging music of my soul
And when he moves to say, "I love you,"
My posed emotions lose control

He meets me in dreams in a hammock with drink
And the stars shimmer over the ocean
Our desert isle makes me smile for awhile
As we rock with the waves of devotion

Where soothing sands of tropical lands
Whisper love's wanted  words in my ears
I shall dance in our intimate romance
As I worship his voice that feels dear

A Lonely Journey

Oh my gosh, how gorgeous, Cheerie!
Deserted islands! What a gorgeous fantasy they are! I think you've described my vision of Heaven here. Can you imagine? No silly people, no crazy work schedule, or need for greedily consumed money, just love, and, of course, love, and maybe even a little love, oh, and how could I forget, love, with your one? I hope Heaven's like that.
This is beautiful, though. Besides the gorgeous setting, and emotions, the beautiful, loving devotion. Awesome range of loving spans. Fantastic! As always.
Love these lines:
'His loving words are so often heard
Yet feel beautifully new to me'
(You have a beautiful mind. I dislike how this world tires of things so easily, but love how his words always seem new. Awesome!).

and,

'I shall dance in our intimate romance
As I worship his voice that feels dear'
( I just posted a poem about slow dancing, so you know it's a gorgeous thing to me).
And there were some beautiful, slightly provocative lines in there to boot.
Gorgeous, Cheerie. You are sooooo good!

Love and hugs,
Matthew.

Hi Matthew. Thank you. I think a lot of people take for granted the words, "I love you" or become desensitized to how important they are to hear and express. I have always been sentimental over them. If we could block out the world and focus on the important people and emotions we have, it would be a perfect place. The stresses of life take away from the true intent of what life could be. Simple things, like the sound of one's voice become a beautiful safe place of comfort. You are so supportive and great. Thank you, Matthew. Love n Hugs, xo

Being Me

Cherie!  This beautiful! Soft and warm and so full of love. This flows silkily smooth, like a river of sweet chocolate, and the rhyming tucks it all nicely into place. A gorgeous poem. Pinned of course! 👏👏👏 x

I'm sure I will..  You wrote the kind of stories I like set in the medieval times and with kings and horses and dragons and knights....my favorite. Congratulations.

Hi Jill. Thank you. I think there are certain voices by those we love if we hear them, we automatically feel a sense of comfort and where we belong in that moment. Thank you for always being so supportive. I am glad you like it.  Love n Hugs xo

You have a way with writing about romance. If no-one’s told you that then you have! Wonderful stuff.

Hi Ezrarimbaud. Thank you!  My favorite genre is love poetry to write. I have a whole collection of 166 love poems coming out this fall through Newman Springs Publishing. I am excited about that. I appreciate you taking time to read my work and comment. xo ;)
