Poem -

If I could.

What would I say to you, If i could......on dark nights you've been the light, I watched you grow with the moon, and in the amber morning rose like a beacon by my side

My pride has no voice big enough to convey, all the things I feel
And wish to say..........as time moves on
And forward cannot rewind

I remember each moment, in my mind

And I beg the cruelty of aging to stop
Turn around and see, that losing you

Would be losing a part of me

So weary......young at heart.......such strength you have displayed

And time, I ask.......this illness
In death would you have stayed.
