Poem -

If it weren't for her

How I wish that it never were,
my life; that brief flash in the pan.
But oh, if it weren't for her!

That sylph I could not deter,
On through my mind she ran.
How I WISH that it never were!

Until then I was nought but a curr!
Taking to bed any woman I can,
But oh! If it weren't for her.

Into my ears she would always purr,
Now I can't imagine how it began, and
How I wish that it never were.

At that time? My, the feelings she'd stir,
I'd have surely become a madman,
But, oh if it weren't for her.

Now on my deathbed i must concur,
That my love never did go to plan,
How I wish that it never were.
But oh! If it weren't for HER.
