Some people absorb the beauty of the world. Others display it to us. One creates her own, and gives it freely for all to embrace.
This is for that one. I wish I could write more effectively to display the beauty she brings to this world, but the heart often thinks much deeper than the mind can muster. But, thank you for being you.
Twilight paints a perfect praise
For every moment of her gaze
The mystery of a starlit sky
Greets sunlight as it passes by
And in her eyes of brilliant blue
The moon appears and waves break through
And faithful as the eventide,
Her afterglow spreads far and wide
Silver sparks of stars soar by
As sunlight soon discovers why,
The beauty of her night and day
Must have their own, intrinsic way
For if she came to us as one
It might appear as if the sun,
Had landed on a nearby shore
And God revealed an open door
And so she goes along in time,
In brilliant peaks of love and rhyme
Then, as her softness filters through
We mortals fall in love with you.
