I'm gona miss you

I’m gona miss you when the light burn out in this city
With a dying flicker of wasted redemption
I’m gona miss you when the high tide rolls out
And carries with it that last solitary grain of sand
I’m gona miss you when the hopelessness of a new day sets in
And sets its sights on a faked fabrication
I’m gona miss you when the last of a dying breed grimaces
At the thought of a fading future
I’ve had about as much as I can take of myself
I think it’s time to let push come to shove
Let agony run its course; and let time heal no wounds
Let these wounds infect and forego anymore mindless cures
I’m gona miss you when time has stopped
And the visible boundary of our deceptive desire plays out in vein
I’m gona miss you when all is lost
And finding nothing to truly wish for shreds us all to pieces
I’m gona miss you when the last shopkeeper closes his doors
And boards up his shop with nails of aching sorrow
And I’m gona miss you when the moon goes dim
Drenched in the forbidden darkness of a tragic end
I’ve learned enough is never enough, but it took me too long
I’ve learned the end is never near when the end is all you want
Let all that we gave in to be a reckoning, sacrifices be a bitter victory
Let all that is within us stay buried for only the inner eye to witness dwelling unseen
I’m gona miss you when we can longer find
That constant flame that burns our minds away
And I’m gona miss you when the termites eat away our sanctuary
Rotten emotions come to the forefront, indicating they grieve our passing
