Poem -

In Silence

In Silence

Silence turns disturbing when all you hear Β
Is raw reverb of your heartbeat's weeping plea
A sad reminder that life could be much kinder
Yet, time-traveling tears serve a pure purpose
An invitation to make drastic changesΒ
To reveal a waving veil in life's mirage
For even in a haze, you can see days ahead
Where you may wake up, suddenly unafraid
To tackle the demons who dared destroy
The convictions you once held dear in your heart
And return to the uninhibited spiritΒ
The mentality of confident conqueror
Wielding all power from strength found within
Then, a sheepish grin will return mysteriously
And, in that moment, silence becomes a friend

Hi Wayne...lol...I believe silence can be an enemy or a friend, depending upon how it used...It can speak hurtful volumes, or it can be where reflection takes over and helps one regroup their thoughts about life ....Thanks for reading and showing support. xo ;)Β Β

Very very true, sometimes I accept silence and other times I write, then my creations are around me and I'm not alone... brilliant piece Cherie πŸ˜ŠπŸ’–

So beautiful sis ❀️
I've experienced both the friendship and the torment in silence,

"It's there in silence we learn
The lessons of the soul
To bloom like flowers
Or rise like a bird - the heartbeat
Echoing great thoughts of mind
Love the keeper, OfΒ every word".

Love you ❀️

My Dear Cherie,

My heart cried in it's silence
My Soul wept for it's lost mate
Nothing seemed to please them
Their desires, not able sate

.
But one day, the sunlight shone upon them
And they both could smile once more
Their silence, no longer golden
Their passion now restored

All my love,
Larry xxx

Hi dear Larry...I like your take on my poem...Sometimes it does take silence to regroup in thoughts and to overcome a time where silence was cruel. Silence can be good or bad....depending on its circumstance in life.Β  I know from my own experience in life how this can be so.Β  Thank you for reading and adding your own interpretive voice to my verses.Β  xo Love n Hugs

Hello, Silence, my old friend,
what price is there to speak again?
What sorrows find their way, weeping,
to the heart I've kept away, keeping,
from the love,
I've felt so scared to feel...
Behind the steel,
A heartbeat sounds in the halls...
of silence.

-Love from Me, Simon and Garfunkel. We Love you!

-Sometimes, silence is my best friend. It stops others from caring, from breaking my heart further. How painful is it to hear "So how is She" and not know the Answer... I mean, We told each other everything, we were everything for five long years, and then she's gone, and everyone just assumes you know.Β

-ovely piece Cherie, Brought tears to my eyes. : )
