Inside Of Me

I am inside of me,

deep inside my mind,

I never want to leave,

peace here, I find.

All my loved ones cry,

asking themselves why,

what went wrong,

when I've always been so strong?

I've lived my life,

holding back the tears,

fighting all of my fears,

struggling to be me,

trying to be free.

No one understands,

no one can relate,

they all debate,

to see what will be my fate.

"Just let me live inside my mind!" I scream,

and they don't listen,

they argue and ponder,

and I can't help but wonder,

why they're really here.

"Go away! Leave me alone!"

Can't they see I'm already home?
