Involuntary Victim & Her Great Act

Her abuser was banished, the blinders were lifted
She didn't know about the pain until it was gone
Without knowing the difference, she thought she was happy
Until the day it was ripped from her, quick like a bandage
Nothing felt more real, she could move without restriction
Despite her rejoice, no one understood how the pain could be gone as simple as that
She was looked at with sad eyes, and treated like a terminally ill patient
Other perspectives were so damaging, she grew uncomfortable to smile
Only seeing the scar that was left from the dagger that was removed from her back
Poking her until she turned raw once again;
Crying she screams "It doesn't hurt anymore, I'm free, be happy for me, you are now the ones destroying me- leave me be"
but no one believed, she was the same before; as she always proclaimed her happiness
Constantly reminded that she was a victim- blinded by her abuser
Cursed for being a happy and joyful person, no one trusted her intuition
The ones that truly loved her hurt her most
Destroying her freedom to rejoice, eventually keeping her prisoner in a victim role
Forever to be seen as a victim waiting for more
To avoid being accused of putting on a face, she enjoys herself behind closed doors
Playing the victim for her viewers, to give them peace, to seem "normal" with her baggage
But her heart has the understanding she is blessed by only one that matters
Understanding what she must do, to bring her loved ones peace
This life she offers to sacrifice her publicity of joy
She has a seat waiting in heaven, to finally be free to smile- no questions asked
She smiles and dances like an angle in her room- having but a small taste of what freedom will feel like
If only they would let her rejoices roam free in the world, her smile so radiant with the power to heal children
But only heaven will see, for that is where the pure hearts reunite
