Jack and Jill today

Jack and Jill went up the hill

Jill and Jewel came down

Jill had an axe when they went up

Now it’s all over town

The boys in town are pretty scared

Chastity belts now sell

For twice as much as just last week

The metal ones do well

The women in town are happier

Than I have seen before

They smile and laugh,

Their husbands stay back

And always hold the door

Police they look the other way

They’re married too you know

The chief is now a woman and

She runs the whole damn show

Some of the men they disagreed

But all those men they speak

In softer tones, much higher now

And kiss the women’s feet

An axe was made for cutting wood 

For heat the winter through

It’s nice to see creative thinking

Finds a use that’s new

Around our town the people all

Are happy everywhere

Except well maybe one or two

Who seem a little scared

Their numbers now they dwindle

And it’s better everyday

I’m glad I am a woman

I don’t have to change to stay
