Poem -

Longing

Longing

Oh I had dreamed,
Of fame and money,
I had climbed status,
Became a social magnet,

I had lakes of pure gold,
Had an empire under my control,
My dream now my reality,
But, there was a fatality,

My eternal flame,
I lost in sight of fame,
Left a gaping hole,
Here I mourn to be whole,

All I do,
Is for you,
My eternal flame,
Return again.

This sounds like one of those tragically eternal struggles that devours the soul of a person......VERY well delivered with your succinctly crafted phrasing ~

~ "I had lakes of pure gold
Had an empire under my control..."

ALL STARS!!!!......Well done dear poet sister!!.......LOVE & ROCKETS!!......T xo 🐧✴❤
