In my eyes lie forever...and you.
Life can be brutal sometimes. Almost like it's trying to push you as far as it can out into the deep ocean to see how long you can tread water. I don't get it. I don't like it, but then, it sends little buoys out, which you can almost reach, and keep you swimming. This is for one of those little lifesavers, who's beautiful heart shines sunlight through the storms at sea. Love, M.
I gazed into her deep, blue eyes
And gravity renounced all ties
I swear I saw God's true grace there,
A gift His fondest Angels share
I left this world on lustrous wing,
The only sound, a lark did sing
And into blue, as I did stare,
I felt as only clutching air
She must have found my silence queer,
And queried 'Are you well, my dear?'
But all my will could not displace,
The beauty of that magic place
I'd fallen deep into a dream
As if the sun had laid a stream
Where warmth and light ran on the ground,
And held me tight without a sound
Her look reflected grave concern,
Though from it's depth I could not turn
And 'fore she hung her head to cry,
A teardrop gathered in my eye
'I am fine, my one last truth,
But I had fallen to my youth
When I discovered God above,
Created everlasting love.'
