Poem -

Meet Me By The Christmas Tree

Meet Me By The Christmas Tree

Please, meet me eagerly, with bells on
By the Christmas tree
Lie down beside me
To make a new romantic memory
Christmas spirit comes alive
In your irresistible kiss
No mistletoe is necessary
To make us behave like this

A playful ambiance of flickering lights
Serve to enhance
The blazing fire between us
In our sweet romance
A spectacular view
Looking up at every branch
Ornate boughs weighted down
In laden avalanche

Outside it’s cold and windy
With accumulating snowdrifts
But here, underneath the evergreen
You are my precious gift
Your warm embrace will replace
Any attempting winter chill
Come, meet me by the Christmas tree
For celebratory thrill

By the frolicsome smile on your face,
I am certain that you will

Hello??!!
I just woke up from fainting because I thought an amazing person wrote a really beautiful, playful poem about Christmas...uh oh!
Sorry, I fainted again due to lack of oxygen after reading that, and am again typing via reflux. Please do not resessuciate me because I don't know how to spell it. Thank you!

Hello Matthew!  Wake up!  Oh good....I could not just leave you passed out.  Thank you, my friend.  I love this time of year and thought it was time to post something fun and playful in the spirit of the season.  As a child, I liked lying down under the tree and looking up at the lights and to get into a dreamy state of mind...and as a woman, I still think it is incredibly romantic to think of lying down with someone you love and letting that magical feeling inspire a little romance by the tree....I had fun writing this one.  I hope you are in the Christmas spirit.  Love n Hugs, Cheerie ;) xo

Hi Greg...Ummm...I am not sure how to respond.  By any chance are you drinking red wine tonight?  Lol  Thank you for letting me know that my poem came across as playful.  I love this time of year and it has always been a fantasy of mine to have a romantic moment by a Christmas tree with the lights all around...It seemed inspiring to write about.  You think this poem could be a song?  Hmmm...interesting.  Maybe like a follow up to "Santa Baby" ?  Lol  Thanks for getting into the spirit.  xo ;)

Well, Tony does not drink anymore because of his health and medications he is on, but he would raise a glass with you in gesture of good cheer, Greg.  I was just being playful in Christmas cheer.

Cherie and Greg
I was just having fun.  I meant no ill will at all.  I am sorry if I offended you. By the way I never said that I do not drink.  I rarely do though
I was just being playful brother.

My Dear Cherie,

What a great idea to use such beautiful metaphors for celebrating Christmas with your Soulmate.

My favorite gift, underneath the Christmas Tree
Is you my Soulmate, there waiting for me
The clock strikes midnight, the children asleep
Our passion erupts, our love very deep

All my love,
Larry
