Mirror

Mirror

I see her —- weak,
Despicably meek,
Skin — pale, flawed,
Shoulders — cartoonishly broad,

Her eyes — hateful gaze,
Aimed at own face,
I see curves — imperfections,
All in my reflection,

I see — me,
Choices — insecure voices,
Actions — reactions,
I see — nobody.

A Lonely Journey

Beautiful write, Hazel. Isn't it odd how we find faults in ourselves because of life being as it is?
Great job.
Matthew.

Thank you for feedback. Beauty is often found in our flaws, yet we often chose to hate what makes us, us.
