Poem -

Naked Dance

Naked Dance

Call me selfish, in my reinventing rant
I just want to feel something beautiful
Come join me in exposed naked dance
Without falter or fair warning in advance
I may touch what seems deemed forbidden
Just to reveal the elusive garden, once hidden
Watch me bare my soul with fire and flame
The true colors of my heart claim no shame
Overdue to prove the truth to you
Of what enchantments reign in my name

Call me crazy, crawling out of my comfort zone
But every second slips of its possibilities
No fun dancing naked on my own
For once, I throw inhibitions to the wind
A glint with hint of glamour guides my hands
If I make a frilly fool out of myself
Please don't laugh past intimacy's chance
The shadows trace my curves in lonely silhouette
When will you come join me in naked dance?
For your heart has not joined me, as of yet

Hi Greg.  Lol...I don't think that would be too inconspicuous if I did that...but may draw attention...Sometimes, metaphorically, you just have to let go and let loose...lol  Thanks, Greg. xo ;)

Lol...Thanks, Matthew.  I am happy you found it enticing...lol..I think I was thinking that sometimes in life, metaphorically, you just have to let go and let loose, and show your emotions openly and not worry about what anyone thinks...And the image of dancing naked is as open and free as you can get, in my opinion...to be vulnerable and open to love.  It takes two to be receptive to make it work.  I am so pleased you like it.  Thank you for all your kind support, always!  ;) xo

Can I just say 'oh my gosh!' as I'm not sure if I mentioned that...and yes, that's exactly what I was thinking(about the feeling free thing). I didn't even see the word naked! (whew, saved myself there). lol.
Ummm...great writing!

Hey Val!  Thank you!  I am such a very calm, introverted kind of person at heart, but there are moments...lol  I really like the idea of letting go of inhibitions and allowing true emotions to be free...I think maybe we all need that sometimes.  I like your idea that it is "an invitation to view beauty in its innocence and its sensuality."  That is a perfect summation of my intent.  Thanks for your kind support.  xo ;)

Hey, I'm going to release Angriest Chicken 2: Phlegmus' Revenge. It's really a tense, harrowing affair, so be ready for it, OK?
Speaking of tense, harrowing affairs, I saw Us last night(the movie). Have you seen that? It was pretty good.

" RANT ON, LOVE. " " It is better to have fought, and lost, than never to have fought at all. " If, it, pleases you to get involved in " the fight ", then so be it. You, are weaving " a tangled web " to ensnare those incapable of resisting your voluptuous " methodology. " It is in your approaches to " prey ", unaware of your ways, that the conflict escalates to the most " restrictive."  :) :) :)
Who can resist such charming " serenades ", luring many to the bait, masquerading as a " trap " ? !!!!  :) :) :)
YOUR WAY, WITH " WORDS ", and emotion, here, denotes the capacity to " bring them in "....for a damn good " feeding " !!!! :) It is clear, you have talent. If you have it, why not use it ? THE END RESULT.....IS EVERYTHING. Is it not ?
You, have to identify your ability in this type of " creativity. " Your sure touch, leaving nothing to chance, " covers " the broad spectrum of " romantic " evolutionary concepts i.e. all positions.
NOTHING SHOULD DEFLECT YOU FROM DELIVERING ON YOUR PROMISE !! :) :) To waste what you have, in this department, is paramount to " criminal. " You have to concede what you are....a fine "  manipulator " of lustful intent, to raise expectation, when it comes, to this. ( POETRY, honestly ? !! :) )
KEEP UP, THE GREAT WORK. You, are no " damsel in distress. " Are you ? :) :) :)
Hoping you get all you need, from life. You, deserve it. XX

Hi Richard, Thank you. This poem is about letting one's inhibitions down and just going for it in love! ;) We have to take chances in life sometimes to get what we want...or live with regrets from not trying.  I used to just let life dictate to me and go with the flow, but I am learning to take charge of my life, more and more and do not feel like a damsel in distress.  I am happy you went back a couple of months and found this write.  I appreciate your support. xo Love n Hugs

It is good to know....you appreciate support. From, wherever it comes. You, give it all....in the name of " art " !!! :) What, I ask, is better than, that ?
You, leave nothing " in the sleeping compartment ", rising with ease, to  " meet, the occasion " !!! :) You, will be remembered for what you have given ( in service, of your " admirers ", who eagerly anticipate your next move, within the " field " of creativity !!! ).
YOU TEACH " WHIPPER-SNAPPERS ", a thing, or two. Do you not ?
Keep on going, for the sake of those needing to learn from " language " !!! Not only of the mind....but of the " heart " !!!! And associated concerns, obviously.

Thank you, Richard.  It is nice that you say I will be remembered for what I have given in my writing.  I hope so.  That is the ultimate goal when sharing poetry.  I hope some "whipper-snappers" can learn from me, lol.....That would be a blessing...I am glad you liked this one. xo ;)
