Poem -

Our Words

Our Words

They move with free range motion, whether by slither or wings
They can soar higher than a kite, or bear brutal bites and stings

The world can cleverly be changed, or crumble to concede
If you are left for wanting, they can fulfill every need

They can ride in on a note, swirl in a melody's riff
Motivate you to create, or to jump off highest cliff

You may begin to believe in love, and feel light of day
Or lose all faith in humanity, wishing them away

Sometimes they fall on deaf ears, other times they cut to the core
Some say their attraction is damn impossible to ignore

I love their smooth beauty, loathe their hurtful lumps and curds
But there's no denying the powerful impact of - our words

SO very true sweetheart!!..... sometimes in our heat of the moment...... we can be either or!!...... But knowing us...... because we are both writers..... we will not have this as problematic ..... getting to know one another is a pleasure that words are an intimate part of....... and hearing you wield words is something that I am learning can be quite beneficial....... this is a VERY insightful poem that I am sure many, many, who read this will find to be more than controversially poetic and insightfully profound!!........ Excellent work Love!!...... Hugs-n-Kisses!!......T xo 🐧✴❤❤❤❤✴🐧

Thank you, T.  All the poets and writers on Cosmofunnel surely understand how their words make impact.  Words are so important for historical accounts, emotional declarations, directional information, and our every day lives to convey important messages.  And when we are passionate about something, words can definitely be used for very good or very bad.  I guess that's why the old adage says that a pen is mightier than the sword.  Words written down can cut right to the heart of things. Thank you for your support.  xo Love n Hugs, C

A Lonely Journey

Cheerie,
What a fantastic piece. Words do convey our feelings so well at times. Our pain, our longing, our joy. Sometimes, I can't convey the feelings strongly enough with words, though, and I wish someone could just feel what I'm feeling, but maybe next life. Maybe then someone could see how incredibly, amazingly wonderful someone else thinks they are, and be forever comforted by that.
It's a beautiful, smart, fantastically written poem, however, and you're an amazing poet.

Hugs,

Matthew.

Hi Matthew!  ;)  Thank you!  Words are a poet's magical way of expressing themselves for the world to get a glimpse of how they see things.  I wish I too could use my words to really exemplify what I feel to others.  I hope to use my words to help and not hurt.  There is too much pain in this life as it is, and if we conscientiously try to use our words to heal others, it is also a way to help ourselves.  Thank you for your sensitive heart in knowing what I am trying to convey.  Your opinions mean so much.  xo  Love n Hugs, Cheerie  ;)
