Poem -

Please Forgive Me.

A Letter To My Angels.

Please Forgive Me.

Please don't ask me how I feel...I feel fine. Oh, I cry a bit, don't sleep too well, but I'm fine...' - Genesis.

Sorry, sometimes you just have to write things out of your head.
I'm not a big fan of me. I think when someone treats you badly for a long time, it not only affects your self-esteem, but also your outlook on life, your attitude, and even your faith.
There are Angels in this world, but even Angels can sometimes have trouble battling the demons.
Sorry.

Please forgive me,
I had to go
I couldn't bear,
The falling snow

Please don't follow,
Me to sleep
The pain that's there,
Is just too deep

Please don't linger,
In my dreams
They never paired,
With worldly schemes

Please don't see me,
I am worn
And fragments of my heart
Are torn

Please don't give me
Final hope
For I deserve,
My fateful rope

Please don't hurt me
Anymore
I've left resolve,
Outside the door

Please forgive me
But I have seen
Pure darkness
Where the light had been

And though I've left you
On this day
My heart with you,
Will ever stay.

Sorry for the above laughter in such a sombre and brilliant creation Mathew. ( Blame Greg) I can't really give your work the comment it deserves because I'm laughing so much at Greg's ridiculously funny non joke. This is really excellent work.though 💖

Thank you, Marionette!
And thank you for piddling upon my comment field! It's the first time anyone's done so(although many have wanted to), so I'm honored.
And yes, interjections are accepted here.
(Note: I did run your piddle and some of the markers are coming up a little high. You may want to cut down a little on your sugar, and herring intake). Thanks!!

Oooooo! Is it Luciano Pavarotti?? I can't wait to read it!! (In case you didn't get the joke, I did not know that a tenner was a ten dollar bill, and thought it was an opera singer, thus questioning if it was Pavarotti).
Over.

Dear Matthew,
Please feel my hand and heart out to you.  I feel so deeply your pain in this....with such hopelessness....Please know that despite how miserable life can be, there is always hope.  When you are constantly hurt in life, it is very difficult to see through the darkness of the day that feels suffocating.  This exudes that feeling of surrendering and giving up from complete weariness...It breaks my heart to feel so much pain.  You are such a great writer of the sad and "wistful" toned poetry, which comes from a deep place you understand to write of it.  I am always here as your friend, and a fan of your poetry....and do not want you to ever feel alone in your pain.  You are a beautiful soul, Matthew.  Share your pain and be proud of your work, but ever be present with your loving heart that deserves to find peace and happiness.  You give so much to this world.  This moved me to tears.  I understand...You are a prolific poet in this modern world that will be recognized and adored.  Love n Hugs, xo Cheerie ;)

Cheerie,
You're the nicest person in the world. You know, I always look to you when I'm down, and think 'I'm a wicked lucky person just to know someone like her!' and I feel better. Thank you for being such an incredible person, and friend! And thanks for the props.
Love and hugs always,
Matthew.

Such a well crafted display of emotion. It gave me goosebumps as I was reading; I could really feel the pain through these words. Amazing.

Oh, the melody of your poetry. I could hear the music being played within the spaces of the lines. Such a soft, warm, loving poem. I do believe in angels; I think that they are past relatives that come to us when we are distraught. We may not be able to see them with our human eyes, but one day, one day -- we'll all see the truth that has been written when the Earth was still being formed. Great poem.
