A Quiet Moment

Soft is the sound of the monarch butterfly wings as it lands on top of a dandelion

The colorful beauty of the hummingbird as it dances silently, as it  flies high

Pedals spotted with dew, an ever blooming red rose daintily opens

The breath of a kitten as it purrs while it lays next to its calico mother

An umbrella covers over our heads as the raindrops fall one by one in brilliant harmony

The moist wet drops fall upon our naked heads then bounce back and forth into many puddles below us

A newborn baby's tiny fingers embrace my shoulder as I rock him to sleep, singing hush little baby

The sound of a flowing waterfall as the sunbeams shine through it, giving it a brilliant rainbow design

Late in the night, high in a tree, I hear the song of the great horned owl, putting me into a deep relaxed sleep

Sorrowful tears run down our solemn faces; weeping  the loss of a loved one who fought for our nation, as the taps play

An american flag is placed at the foot of the casket along with the memories it holds deep inside

Look over us, angels, watch us and keep us safe, bring our men and women home from the war

As we pray for peace in the valley ,serenity and faith.  I give you this, a quiet moment
