Rant about this site done gracefully in poetic form
It’s been a while since I’ve been on this site
My justification has served me rite
This site is ok but it’s just too clicky
Most are like glue and just too sticky
And trying to fit in is just too tricky
I read a review of this site the other day
And I’m sad to say it’s true what they say
We as poets write what we feel and write from the heart
It’s not about where the poem stops or where it starts
It’s about the writing, the idea or the plot
That’s the core of it’s heart
In recognition   for all our hard work
All we ask is a few lines in reply
Whether it be good or bad
It’s the thought,
 those few words of recognition
Well to us they mean a lot especially if you enjoyed the poem
Or at least enjoyed the plot
So please read what I have got
And in return I’ll do the same
And together we all get the recognition
We all make new friends
And we all become a poetic family
Sometimes as a poem or writer
It can be frustrating
Trying to get across what you are trying to say
And saying it in the right way
So let’s play nice
It shouldn’t be a game of dice
You roll a six then you reply
My how kind
We are not tethered to each other with ropes
But I ask if you read, reply
And that would be dope
It’s not about who comments first
It’s about having your voice heard
In the form of pen to paper
Or finger to keyboards
As long as you are heard
Who cares?

Hey JEFF!!......thanx so much for shining a light on this most sensitive subject matter......I agree with Tina......I Love it here on Cosmo...... when I first arrived here......I hardly ever got any comments but I just kept reading and writing and commenting..... now.... after four years.....I really feel like I'm part of a Very cool and kind community of writers and artists.......I have made some great friends here and met my wife..... Like my mother always taught me...... If you put a major effort into anything in this life...... you will most surely get out as much as you put into anything you aspire to!!......Thanx again for being such a cool example for everyone my friend!!...... I am new on Cosmo and have received a lot of welcoming support from so many members of the community, however I get where you are coming from. A poet is a poet and leaving feedback doesnt take long. But like Tina said, owing to the overwhelming number of poems, its sometimes tricky to catch up with every piece of expression.
A very cleverly and beautifully put together piece. Its an eye opener for us all. All we want as poets is to feel appreciated and that definitely means a lot.

Hey Jeff. I've been an on and off again writer on Cosmo myself and I do agree with you. Feedback is essential for improvement in writing after all we are artists and wish to make an impact on our audience.Â
Unfortunately, I find that exposure seems to matter. If one is here every day and comments all the time, the same is reciprocated, but not everyone has that time to spare. :) I keep coming back though lol, and I look for the few poets who friended me when I first arrived.Â
