Poem -

Red Lipstick

Red Lipstick

She woke in the morning
Black under her eyes
She stole from the sunlight
It’s life and it’s lies

She wore the red lipstick
As a mask, a disguise
She wore the red lipstick
In pursuit of a life

I watched her so fondly
I loved her so dear
But who was she really
The answer, I feared

I wore the red lipstick
To be close to her
I wore the red lipstick
I wore it like her.
