Riding the Wave

When your world falls apart you question everything
Even the ones you're supposed to love
You lose your trust in others
And also in God above
Those who are meant to be there for you
Shrink and slink away
You realised he's a stranger
When you looked at him that day
We only have ourselves
And the strength within our heart
You can only rely on your own intuition
When everything falls apart
No can fix you but you
No one can dry your tears
You have to face it head on
And stare in the face of your fears
Friends will let you down
And family probably will too
The only person you can rely on
Is the better version of you
The world don't owe you anything
It won't stop turning to wait
You've gotta jump on the rollercoaster
And ride the wave of fate
And when it lifts you upon the shore
The sun will shine on your face
The storm rolls out to sea
And the future smiles with grace
