Poem -

this rolling stone.

I knew one day , this rolling stone
Would stop moving

Face to face we now stand

Those stone cold memories
My heart within my hand

Throwing words of offence
against the shallows of my soul

Its goodbye now to my fellow self
Taking off those vulnerabilities
You had me wear

Stepping into a brand new role

Collecting all the pieces of me
Becoming whole

Emptiness left behind

To wonder across the night
like lost stars unseen

On my way to becoming brand new,
becoming clean

I found myself
Crossing over that bridge
of rotting wood

Face to face we stood

My guard coming down
piece by piece

I watched it crumble
handing you back that frown

Looking down into the water below ,
cold as the icy snow

I've only one way to go

All those heavy words in my head
Weighing me down so long

Listening to the beauty now
the whistling bird

singing the tune
A brand new song

You built me up ,
so you could tear me back down

I let you, throw me into
the deep end

Echoing the sound

Those stones you rolled my way
Are all yours from this day

Peaceful face to face
We stand

Letting go of the brokenness
Within my hand

Walking across the the other side
My feet now touch the sand

No longer the heavy weight
Within my heart

Giving you back those rolling stones
You aimed from the start.
