Poem -

Safe haven

Fairground stalls and rollercoasters
an overwhelming pick and mix
of emotions
soon as I feel joy
reality seeps through
preventing me from any real happiness

                    as it ends too soon

a stick called crack of life
abagofindecisivethoughts
one-hundred miles
per hour still not fast enough
for life's sweet
fruitful ambition

                   yet the skin too tough

how can I develop
how can I be truly happy when
false-hope and pressure keeps mounting
                                on
                                top
                                 of
                                me

a rough gem with a self destruct
button
submerged in a barrell of uncertainty
consume the junk and your
mind will erode
frightened to escape yet I always find
comfort in my enclosed abode
