Sexy Socks Fairy Tales

For Marion's sock themed poetry challenge...

Sexy Socks Fairy Tales

Fairy tales are not told very well
Most demoralizing details are left out
For did you ever hear of the lavished fear
Of Goldie Locks wearing sexy socks?
Perhaps not!

It was Roxy Fox who first wore the socks
And strutted by her with insidious mocks
Daring Goldie Locks to put on a pair
With her up swept hair,
Goldie begrudged the dare
And donned the ugliest, holiest pair!
She thought surely no one would care
And flee the scene in despondent despair
But instead, she got many a stare
For in bending down to put on the pair
She forgot she was not wearing underwear!

So to keep the fairy tale PG-13
Roxy fox took over the embarrassing scene
And Dr. Seuss chose to rewrite, “Fox in Socks”
To save the sexy streaking peek
Of Miss Goldie Locks

Be warned there are other sexy socks tales
But the mass majority did not take it too well
So today we have Jack and Jill with water pail
Instead of sexy socks that put them in jail

Oh, well thank you so much!  I was second guessing myself whether it was funny enough and good enough to post.....This is definitely not my usual kind of themed write or style. But it made for a fun challenge.  I am so glad you say you love it....Yay! xo ;)

Hi Sammar.  Thank you!  I have done some other funny writes, but they are far and few between my other writing...lol  I actually plan to post a poem by Monday picking fun of myself for how sappy I am about romance writes.  I am so glad you enjoyed it.  Thank you so much.  I appreciate your support.  xo ;)

Hi  Marion...I do not know how "proper" it is, but I wanted to try the challenge....as socks is not something I would ever have thought of as a theme to do.....and I knew it would really challenge me...so I went the funny route.  I appreciate you for the opportunity to bring us all together to try something different that also connects us....It was fun!  xo Love n Hugs  ;)

Hi Jill!  Thank you!  I was out of my comfort zone of writing, but I wanted to try to join in on the fun and challenge myself.  I am so glad you liked it...I really liked your socks poem....This kind of assignment brings us all together and shows how different we are in our writing styles when doing the same subject......but all so very different with how we wrote about "socks".  Love n Hugs, xo    ;)

Yes, we should have special subjects to inspire and motivate us each week.  Cosmofunnel used to post a monthly contest with at least four different topics to choose from to write about and they were judged each month with winners...I wish they would do that again...but we can still do an inner challenge among us on here.  ;) ox

May I just interject here? I've been following this intervention by Cheerie, and noticed that you may have some medical, and addiction-type problems due to this poetry thing. Now, I'm not a doctor, but I played one on the school playground when I was young(KIDDING!), and I believe a blood transfusion(to get the poetry out of your veins), and a 12 step program(to curb your addiction), may be our best plan of action. I've enlisted one of my medical associates, a Dr. I.M. Luupee, to assist with the mental portion of your problem, and another, Dr. Iva Urblud, to perform the medical procedure. Please let me know if you have any questions. And Cheerie, please don't enable her.
KIDDING! Keep writing, Jillian, you're great!
Matthew.

Hey T!  I did not think I would even attempt this, but I am glad I did.  I am not comfortable writing about things I cannot relate to...but socks are something we all have and there are different angles to write about it...I enjoyed everyone's different stories behind socks....and I approached mine more with comedy and a Dr. Seuss tone.  I am glad you look at it as me spreading my wings a bit to try something new....It was fun.  xo Love n Hugs

HI Matthew....I really was not planning on doing a sock write, feeling it just wasn't in me...lol...The socks are usually in the dryer...lol....but at the last minute I decided to try.  It was a challenge for me...I think your sock entry was the funniest and most creative one...I enjoyed reading everyone's entries and just didn't want to be left out.  It is fun doing a challenge and being a part of a group effort....It feels more like we are all family...lol...I usually hate competitions, but when it is a fun relaxed one like this it is hard not to wan to join in.  I am glad you liked it.  You are always so supportive and a group player too.  Thank you.  Love n Hugs, xo Cheerie ;)

Cheerie,
If socks were a person, they would adorn your feet with so much love that you would gladly begin a whirlwind romance with them under the bright lights of gay Paris...I think.
Anyway, even inanimate objects are very fond of you. I was talking to my calculator(who sometimes eavesdrops on my Cosmo action), and he thinks you're wonderful. If I was talking to my socks(we had a falling out over some laundering instructions), I'm sure they would love you, too.
Love your nicety!

Matthew.

My Dear Cherie,

This contest is a "shoe-in"
You have "socked it to" all the other contestants
It was about time for someone to reveal the truth about Goldilocks

Love,
Larry xxx

Lol...Hi dear Larry.  I did not know what to write for the sock contest and my silly sense of humor came out.....I always knew Goldilocks was not as innocent as she appears in "The Three Bears" fairy tale...There is a naughty girl at play....lol  I am glad you got my sense of humor in this one.  This is definitely not my typical write...lol.  Love n Hugs to you and Linda
