Poem -

Shadowlight

Shadowlight

You were mine
To claim,
In times foretold.

To me.
A shadow, nearer
To its flame.

You cast me
Deeply. 'Neath
Thy fiery chin.

In fleshly poise,
Departed—
From your warmth.

What a deserted
Sanctuary, to find?
Would you say
Not so?

In your visage
I can no longer
—Remain.

For you've
Bested me.
That's for sure.

Unto your justful
Mercy. I shall be found.
