Poem -

Shall I Dance For You?

Shall I Dance For You?

Shall I dance for you, to express my love inside?
The ocean is the music, in evening tide
I feel you all around me in salty sea spray
By moonlight, I find delight in reflective array

Twirling in the wind, amidst the seagull’s laughter
It is the sound of your calm voice I am after
If the surging swells could bring you here by ship
I would drink deep of your love, savor every sip

Shall I sing for you, underneath the glowing moon?
Recognize my love song, join in and sing the tune
Thoughts of you linger in the seashore’s frothy foam
I believe in visions that I am not alone

Listen for my heartbeat, pulsating in the waves
Despite the storms of life, it pleads for what it craves
Persistent prayers surf the current for redemption
Seeking your embrace for love’s healing dimension

Somewhere, you are out there, perhaps pleading as well
To be here with me, splashing freely in sea mist’s spell
Shall I dance for you, preserve your heart in my hand?
Someday, retrieve it, as we dance upon the sand

" DANCING FOR THE DEVIL ? " Or, just for the hell of it. Makes you happy !! And, when you can tie some quasi-suggestive sexual manipulation to it, all the better !! Hey ? Is it me, or is it circumstance of late, that leads me to the conclusion that your spirit is torn asunder ? To, roam free, on the verge of catatonic configurations of ecstatic diversionary exploration. All, to their own, I suppose !! :) :)
YOU, TEASE, WITH YOUR " DYNASTIC " INVASIONS. Of, " foreign fields " or " sand banks ", if you get the drift. How, " charged " are you ? Ready, and able, to give wholeheartedly to others. In, this way !!! :)
YOU, FREE THE MIND. And, other " things " with your capacious manner. Ever available, to share " romantic overtures "....and " under-passes " ? Nice touch. I take full regard of your complete immersion in to the undeniably sophisticated realms of " fanciful " ABANDON.
How, good, it is to see you....enjoying, that " craft ", which you offer, at the slightest opportunity. You, are generous, you know.
THANKS. For, sharing.
Looking to you, as always, for resemblances of " VARIED " methodology....to expound " not-so-hidden " delights, of life, and other occupations !!! :) :) :) ( humorous analogies, aside ? !! ).
As well as, material, to SWAY, " hearts " and minds ?

Hi Richard!  Are you calling me a tease?  Lol  I suppose the woman in this poem is playing in the waves with her love song's dance and song in a kind of merriment of display....in hopes to bring her lover somehow to her to join her seaside escapade.  I love the beach.  I love, LOVE.... ;)  It seemed a natural combination to write this poem.  I think a carefree heart is a beautiful thing.....I have always been such a cautious and tentative kind of person when it comes into delving into the unknown areas of life....but with love....It is important to surrender to its hold and go with the "flow"....  ;)  Thank you for your elaborate commentaries. I never know what to expect from you, my friend.  Love n Hugs, Cherie

You, have a kind heart. You, leave an " indelable footprint ", which marks you out. The way you see the world is constantly stimulating. Interest personified !!!  :) Thank you, for sharing " LOVE "...with little ol' me.
Keep it up, my friend. Wherever you are....and whatever you are doing, whether it be by choice or not !!!!  :) You, count for something, you know.
Stay comfortable, and safe. Accept, you are " respected ".....truly.

Awww...Don't make me cry, Richard.  You know I am sensitive!  ;)  I don't know how to respond to such kind words.  Thank you, though.  It means so much that you say I "count for something" and that I am "respected"....What else could a writer hope for to feel from readers?  Wow!  Bless you.  Thank you for your well wishes.  I am trying to build a life that fits me.  I appreciate your support over the  years, my friend.  Thank you. ;)

Cheerie,
That was so beautiful. Another gorgeous love poem. It was just awesome the way you tied that wonderful, romantic heart to the beauty of the sea. You are a fantastic writer, your ideas are great, and you always word them so beautifully.
Gorgeously romantic!!

Love and hugs,

Matthew.

Thank you, Matthew!  ;)  I love the beach, and NC has some very nice ones.  I could just imagine  dancing in the inviting waves so free with love in my heart...how beautiful that would feel.  I create these scenes in my head and write from there.  I am so happy you appreciate my writing style...I am a hopeless romantic for sure!  Lol... Bless you.
Love n Hugs, Cheeriei ;)

You're so welcome, you deserve it.
I love the beach, also! I could live in the ocean...if I could find a good pair of waterproof slacks.
Always appreciate your writing, it just makes the world a much beautifuller(Adj. to be filled with beauty due to Cheerie's writing) place.
Loved it!!

Matthew.

Lol....If it weren't for hurricanes, i would love to live at the beach too.  I like to treasure hunt with my kids for sea shells.  But the newest thing I love about the beach is that I discovered that the warm wet sand, just where the waves come in, greatly helps my neuropathy.  It does something that numbs the pain and the texture's consistency stimulates my nerves and feels so good. It gives me the illusion, though temporary, that my feet are normal and healed. I want to invent a shoe that has that same feel, and I know others with neuropathy would love the feel too.
It means so much to have your continued support and encouragement of my poetry.  Thank you, Matthew!  ;) xo

Hey Cheerie,
You're welcome!
Hey, I love the shoe idea! Honestly, that sounds great!(disregard my statements after this because it IS a great idea).

I have some invention ideas, also, including The Muskrat Delimiter(for exceptionally long muskrats), Imitation Felt(real felt can be so expensive these days due to the U.S. trade embargoes with South Dakota, so I've invented a substance that isn't exactly like felt(feels more like velvet, and is more of a liquid than a material, and can't be used in children's projects as it's highly toxic), but it does smell exactly like felt, at merely 98% of the price of real felt. It's great. Also, Alexa for Ferns, which is a computerized voice module machine in which ferns(in plant voice) can order Alexa to spray water on them when their soil is dry, or find out the weather from her, in order to plan their wardrobe for the week(provided they wear clothing, of which I'm starting a line of fern clothing including skorts, and leave socks). I think they'll love it. I also have The Aborigine Greeter, A Monkey Transfulgater, and Pulled Pork Ice Cream in the works, but haven't thought of them yet. Anyway, I love your idea, too, so keep inventing!

L&H!

Lol...Why don't I just hire you to make the neuropathy shoes?  You seem to have a whole slew of ideas that are entertaining...and perhaps could just make me forget about my neuropathy just from simply listening to all the other ideas..I have no clue how you come up with all the things you do....Thanks for making me laugh though...I needed it just now.  xo ;)

Well, you can blame you for me because you're such a nice person that it leads to happiness, which is a bad thing for me(and you guys), because I get loopy...ooooo! The Loopiness Extractor! It will remove undue silliness from the goofiest of individuals!! I must work on that! Thank you!!

My Dear Cherie,

I feel your body's closeness, with each wave that caresses me
As I'm dancing for my Soulmate, in the splendor of the sea
I sing the song of Sirens, hoping it will reach your waiting ears
And it brings you back here to me, no more saddened tears

All my love,
Larry xxx
