Poem -

Some Days, I am a Songbird

Some Days, I am a Songbird

Some days, I am a songbird
Stretching her wings in solitude
Surveying my surroundings
Contemplating my song’s mood

My sincere eyes search the heavens
Seeking answers through the blue
Catching breeze of Holy Spirit
For paradisiacal view

Silence sends its salutations
For its moment to interject
I pause to hear the message
Out of reverent respect

A bird does not sing with answers
It sings because it has a song
I raise a voice of empathy
Love’s melody where I belong

It sweeps me like a windstorm
Furious in its intent
To change my heart forever
With efforts to circumvent

I reach out, held accountable
To take the chance in life’s flight
Some days, I am a songbird
Learning to sing with blindsight

A Lonely Journey

'There is nothing more beautiful than a person whose heart has been broken. but still believes in love.'

What a beautiful, wistful, wonderful, sad, gorgeous, poem! Oh my gosh, the range of emotions, beautiful writing, Cheerie!

You sing from the heart, Songbird, and they're the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Your songbird is near, don't ever stop singing, your songs, like sacred prayers, will be answered.

Amazing write, Cheerie.

Love and hugs,

Matthew.

Hi Matthew,
I think when one has their heart broken, they have to believe in love to survive and hope is always there.  What a beautiful commentary in response to my poem...Thank you!  I know God hears our prayers, and sometimes, like a song we are unfamiliar with the lyrics,  we just have to sing anyway and hope the melody speaks to us.  Answers come in time, and if we hold hope, like the bird's song, it will reveal its purpose.  Thank you for always seeing through to my deeper meanings...That is so cool!  You are awesome!  Love n Hugs, xo Cheerie

Hi T.... Thank you.  I appreciate your support.  I thought of Leona Lewis' song, "Lovebird" and it inspired me to think of a songbird's plight to sing of love with limited knowledge of why it feels it must sing.  Lol  Love n Hugs n Kisses   C

Woww such a beautiful poem, I can relate to feeling like a songbird, I'm always crooning sth while I write or do chores for my lil baby. But you wrote such an awesome one in rhyming, it's utterly delightful for my poetic heart. But you are married so unless he's traveled you can't feel solitude neh? Yet solitude does feel very poetic so kudos for this fab muse.👌🏼👌🏼👏🏻🌷.

plz Pleez do read and review  my newest poem this time for humour fun and a smile, interaction via comments is cool don't you think?

Hi S Zaynab Kamoonpury!  Thank you!  I am so honored!  Moments of solitude do not always mean loneliness, which can be hard....but instead times to reflect on life.  Sometimes we have to wait on answers in our life, and keep a song in our heart...Thank you for your kind comments...I will certainly try to catch up on Cosmo and read your poem...Thanks for telling me.  xo ;)

My Dear Cherie,

Some days, I trill just like a songbird
It brings harmony from up above
I hear echoes from the Angels
Sending me down their love

All my love,
