The Stone Angel

She said goodbye to her heart
For the very last time.
Paid the fare
Sent it off, on a fast train
Wrapped in a blanket
With a one way ticket
To the end of the world;
it had become too big a distraction
taking up space and time and attention
And as she watched it fade away
across distant, barren fields
she suddenly turned, icy cold
and sauntered away, indifferent

Lily Mae my heart truly goes out to you, you're a precious soul and you really inspire me, sending out prays for you and your sister, wish there was more I could say....I can't even imagine what you're going through right now....stay strong my friend, you are loved by many
Brother Chris!!.........this is another Stellar write.........that pic says a lot........but not as much as those words that splash upon shore of your readers soul.........carefully taking us through the baptism required.......to relieve the pain of the broken heart........and offering up the awareness........that there is growth through the pain..........and eventually the healing awareness............that loves suffering can be worth the price paid........this is brilliantly delivered brother...........love and rockets............T xo
Thanks T, I only seem to want to write poetry these days if inspiration pulls me into one; I didn't want to put it down but I was inspired by my friend Lily Mae with this one as well, each day I'm on this site makes me realize how important it is and how much of a family it is around here, in its own way; granted. I find that in itself quite remarkable; the collective is incredible; a true comfort exists here with and understanding of individuals who are in many ways family...you've known this for a while, my brother, I'm very cynical about such things but I'm getting better....thanks for comment, you write beautiful commentary and helpful as well.
Hey Sister Sparrow Song, I just love your comments and your poetry, thank you so much for reading me.
