Sunrise On The Shore

Sunrise On The Shore

Today I saw death
Today I saw life
The sun rose and forgot you ever existed
And for a moment, the world was silent
Praying hands fell and mumbling lips ceased
You lie still
Waiting for the tide to draw back with your life
But it will allow the good you bred here to live
Only your sins have washed away tonight
