Poem -

The Awaited Breakthrough

The Awaited Breakthrough

When tears fall like lost diamonds
Upon deaf ears of stubborn pride
One can feel consistently alone,Β
Torn up insideΒ
A strange beauty comes from solitude
A reflective calm in blue mood
As if redemption hides in tears
So hope can be renewed
I believe in embracing truth
Despite lies of distraction
Love must pave the way
For reversal of bad reaction
I wait with brave face
For winds of change to debut
With saving grace
Where my spirit finally heals,Β
In the awaited breakthrough

HI Edward...Thank you.Β  That is very kind of you to say.Β  Sometimes in life, we have to wait for a long patient time to heal from past hurts and wait on fate to heal those wounds...That was my thought as I wrote this one.Β  I always appreciate the support....I have not had time to be writing much and so it means a lot that when I post my work is still well received...Thank you.Β  xo ;)Β

HI Mitsali...Thank you.Β  I am honored.Β  I think in order for wanted change to occur in life, sometimes we have to wait, pray and rely on faith to bring a breakthrough necessary to regain hope...I have seen this many times in my life...just my thoughts.Β  Thank you for reading and commenting. xo ;)Β

Heartbreak can certainly test one’s coping mechanisms. And yes it can make one stronger. But also one is left with a distinct hollowness too. You’ve certainly covered your bases in writing this 😊 well done Cherie πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Hi Silent Dreamer!Β  Thank you!Β  I am honored that you liked this one so well that you pinned it....Trauma/pain in one's life can cause distress and a feeling of being stuck...and the desire to break free of that bondage.....to find a breakthrough to peace....It is something I have been through in life and inspired this one.Β  I appreciate your kind words of support.Β  xo ;)

Some people wait for the breakthrough, and some linger, unmoving on the edge. I guess it's up to each of us to determine which we fall under. The idea of everything I know and battle becoming moot is... Difficult to accept. Maybe, one day, I'll be able to find something or someone to get me ready, but as for now... I'll happily be a fence-sitter.

Hey D.....I understand how you feel.Β  I was a fence sitter for a lot of my life growing up as a teenager andΒ  young adult too...watching the world with leery eyes and trying to figure out why everyone was hurting each other and trying to learn from everyone else's mistakes so I would not get hurt myself. Over the years, I have experienced firsthand how the hardest times in my life are always eventually met by a breakthrough that allows change for good and release to break free from pain......It is just a matter of time to bend with destiny and a bit of determination too to find hope again.Β  One day you may feel moved to tear down the fence...lolΒ  xo ;)Β

My Dear Cherie,

Good things come to those who wait
When the "breakthrough" finally arrives
It eradicates the pain of the past
And replaces it with the joys of the future

All my love,
Larry xxx
